This renovation by Sherbrooke Design and Construction in Melbourne’s Bayside was a total refurbishment, with a second storey extension resulting in a home that now offers exceptional space in a fantastic living environment. The Brighton home had a rear internal renovation back in the 1970’s which unfortunately had not retained any of the original period features. The front and side exteriors of the home had also been painted over in cream paint and the overall home was in need of some major repairs.
The design involved stripping back the exterior paint to reveal the original heritage brickwork and demolishing the rear 70’s renovation which was not in keeping with the original home. The windows, feature urns and bluestone were all kept for reuse in this renovation.
