Donald Macfarlane,  is regraded as one of the organic movements greatest living treasures.. Respected across the organic world  for his boundless enthusiasm, experience, wisdom generosity. Don was born 1927, married Glenys in 1946 they had 6 children, worked on the family farm. At 22 Don matriculated in Agriculture and Veterinary Science by Correspondence. However it was  on reading “Out Of The Earth” by Louis Bromfield, one of the original environmentalists, that caused Don's whole family to embrace Organic Agriculture. Then in 1962, Don won a Nuffield Farming Scholarship, and went on intensive Farm Study Tour to UK, Europe, USA, Don had always been involved in Farm Organisations, at local, state. and federal level. In 2003 Don became a State Director of Greening Australia, where he worked hard for 23 years. 1991 he became a National Director of Biological Farmers Australia 1989 with his wife Glenys , he visited UK, Canada and USA. his first BioFarm Educational tours. From 1991 to now he has organised 22 visits to North America, with a total of 750 farmers accompanying him  and a visit to Cuba last year present a paper on “Effective Health Care through EcoFarming.”

No doubt his greatest achievement is the top echelon people he has befriended. Lady Eve Balfour said “Agriculture is the Primary Health Service”; Arden Anderson "if you have a cropping problem then you have a soil nutrient problem if you have a human or animal health problem then you have a food nutrient problem." ;Jerry Brunetti, who against all oncological advice cured his terminal cancer, nutritionally; Philip Wheeler the non-toxic agronomist; Bill McDonnah the Green Dean of architecture; Sally Fallon of Nutrient Dense Food and “The Weston A Price Foundation”; Edwin Blosser, " intuitive skill and common sense can work miracles"; Dr McAnnally of Mannatch. Don, has done much to promote these pioneers and introduce their practices work to Australia.

As Don says "We must never loose sight of the fact that 90 % of scientific research is paid for by the world Corporations, therefore 90 % of research is science for hire, and the only real skill these same Corporations possess is Societal Manipulation. Most of the food produced in USA is denatured junk fraudulently sold as food. Our very real problem is the cosy working nexus between the food and pharmacutical giants and Government. "

"Agriculture must change, Toxic inputs must cease, GE is not needed for it largely reduces yield and throws into confusion nutrient density. Nothing in all history has told as great a lie as the GE promises society has been given."
