Henry Doubleday Association Inc.

"Founding member 1970 of Henry Doubleday Assoc. Inc. (www.hdra.org.au)  he has been instrumental in its running ever since. Active in University of Western Sydney’s Earth Care Centre, (www.earthcare.org.au)  and available at the weekly meetings. Which was the first certified NASAA certified organic farm and instrumental in formation of NASAA in 1986. Honorary Secretary of Henry Doubleday Assoc. Inc. and at 86 years old, he continues to run their library.

Dick went Hurrelston Agricultural College, married Dot, his childhood sweetheart, in 1940 and served in 2nd World War. He has never left the family block at Currajong growing his own organic vegetables .

Affectionately known as "Dr Dig", Dick still travels around giving educational tours, and to shows with his portable mini organic library & information boards and magazines and  giving gardening demonstrations. Dick has devoted his life to organic farming organic field days and open days."
