David has recently been described as an ex-hippy turned peasant farmer,
who is trying to save the world one plastic bag at a time.
He has spent 30 years farming mostly in horticulture and the last 15
years as an organic farmer. His yields have been successfully exported,
distributed domestically and sold at local markets.
Currently, David is the secretary of the Rainbow Region Organic Market
and the Minister for External Affairs for the Tweed Richmond Organic
Producers Organisation.
David’s belief in the necessity of being an activist is helping to
support local organic markets, which in turn is helping to safeguard
our community’s health, as well as promoting environmental
sustainability and economic well being.
